One of the largest obstacles I faced was grief. When I was 14 years old, my father passed away from cancer and I could not fathom the intricacies of what that meant. I could not have had the foresight to how that moment contributed to the foundation of my character. I had to find the courage to overcome depression and the strength to let go of fear. This quote by Renee Swope reminds me to step out in faith no matter the depth of my situation. You may not be where you once were, nor the person you thought you would become, but the power of faith instills an anchor to keep you grounded to persevere the wavering situations of life.
